Joost van Hezik is a Dutch director working in film, television and theatre. He trained at the Amsterdam University of the Arts.

His work for NPO includes the VPRO series TreurTeeVee and Zenith II, the youth series Kamp Koekieloekie and the telefilm De Vaandeldrager Vijf, which he also wrote. His feature film Boy Meets Gun came out in 2019. On stage he has directed for Toneelschuur Producties, Toneelgroep Amsterdam and Orkater, most recently the music theatre piece Burning Sweetgrass. Alongside fiction and theatre he directs commercials.
